האויר פה אורגני ואין זיהום אור, זה אומר שבלילה בהיר הכוכבים כל כך נוצצים וזוהרים שמרגיש כאילו אפשר לגעת בהם .

גם המים אורגניים, מי באר הכי מתוקים שטעמתי בחיים. לכל בית יש את הבאר שלו ואפשר להשקות את הדשא כמה זמן שרוצים.

הביצים אורגניות והתרנגולות חופשיות, גם הדבש, כי אין ריסוס בשדות ושפע פרחי בר, עצי שזיף תפוח ואגס.

יש לי שתי כוורות בחצר, לול קטן של 5 תרנגולות מחמד, וגן ירק עונתי שהוא אחד מתחביבי העל שלי. מהאביב עד הסתיו אני מגדלת את רוב הירקות והפירות שלי בעצמי.

ומה שחסר לי אני משלימה בשוק האיכרים, אצל חקלאים מקומיים, אלופים.

אני לא אוכלת יונקים, אבל אם כבר בשר, זה פה. הפרות רועות כל השנה בשדות ירוקים, בעדרים חופשיים עם העגלים שלהן, בשלווה ורוגע.

בנהר יש סלמונים וביערות ובהרים פטריות ופירות יער .

הפטריות גדלות באיזורים מסויימים ואם אתה מכיר מקום טוב אתה שומר אותו בסוד.

"נו, תגידי לי איפה יש פטריות " התחננתי לחברה שלי ,

"אם אגלה לך אצטרך להרוג אותך" היא ענתה....אבל בסוף היא לקחה אותי איתה ...מצאנו המון פטריות מורלס (Morels), הן מוזרות, נראות כמו מח וטעימות להתעלף... היא נתנה לי את המתכון הסודי שלה והשאירה אותי בחיים....

The air here is organic, and there’s no light pollution. That means that on a clear night, the stars shine so brightly, so vividly, it feels like you could reach out and touch them.

The water is organic too—well water, the sweetest I’ve ever tasted. Every house has its own well, and you can water your lawn as much as you want.

The eggs are organic, and the chickens roam free. The honey too, because there’s no pesticide spraying in the fields, just an abundance of wildflowers, plum trees, apple trees, and pear trees.

I have two beehives in my yard, a small coop with five pet chickens, and a seasonal vegetable garden—one of my greatest passions. From spring through fall, I grow most of my own vegetables and fruits.

Whatever I don’t grow myself, I get at the farmers’ market from incredible local farmers.

I don’t eat mammals, but if I eat meat, this is the place to do it. The cows graze year-round in lush green fields, roaming freely with their calves, calm and at peace.

The river has salmon, and the forests and mountains are full of mushrooms and wild berries.

Mushrooms grow in certain hidden spots, and if you know a good one, you keep it secret.

*"Come on, just tell me where the mushrooms are,"* I begged my friend.

*"If I tell you, I'll have to kill you,"* she replied.

But in the end, she took me with her... We found tons of morel mushrooms. They’re strange-looking, almost brain-like, and absolutely delicious. She gave me her secret recipe—and let me live to tell the tale.
